I have been wracking my brain trying to understand how our supposedly austere Security Exchange Commission could allow the Bernie Madoffs and the Mortgage mongers take us on such a downhill slope. I only pray that there were no payoffs. Although I sometimes think we'd be better off if there were. It might prove that the system wasn't that broken. We need to have guarantees that a disaster like what happened to the real estate market, never happens again. The one sign I see that attempts to show the return of faith in the people is the appearance of unsecured business lines of credit. Let's show we deserve the display of confidence.
