You smile with the smile of one thousand stars
You laugh with the laugh of one thousand children
It is Christmas you know and the moment is bright
The time to give joy, the time to give light.
You catch little wonders with rosy hands
They melt in your palms: the tears of one thousand angels.
They fill up your heart with unsaid prayers
They open your eyes to the wonder of living.
So let your life shine and let your heart sing
The song of one thousand cherubs
And be your true self, for life is worth living
And let it be Christmas with every breath you take.

What do you have planned?
The children will be awake soon
the brokenhearted father stated
how disappointed they will be
what shall we say..what can we do?
not too worry husband not too worry
the twins..in their eagerness for Christmas
slept in the same bed...giggled and smiled
they knew not too expect much
knew they may not be getting anything at all
but they had each other..and loving parents
and after all it was Christmas...and there was snow
as they tip toed down the stairs looking in awe at the tree
they laughed and in amazement saw there were gifts
gifts wrapped in brown paper and tied with twine
with their names on them..Santa did come..even for them
they received apples and an orange each..new mittens and
knitted hats..and a beautiful sled...newly painted and theirs
it was the best Christmas ever..and father gave mom a new scarf
had there ever been such a wonderful day?
The Christmas Eve party had just ended at the penthouse
Father locked the bedroom door behind him
Mother said the twins would be up to see if Santa came
well they had better not disturb me father stated
I will try and keep them quiet dear, you just rest Mother said
and quietly closed the door just as she heard the twins slamming theirs
Why there is hardly anything here,,they shouted in loud angry voices
Last year we got twice as much..it's not even worth getting up
clothes, you know we hate clothes..but they are jerseys for your favorite teams
with seasons tickets and footballs and soccer balls, and baseballs just as you asked for
but not for Christmas..we wanted something good for Christmas..something different
had there ever been such a horrible day...they got cheated..they never had a good Christmas
Emotions pouring through the body,
Feelings are sublime.
Warm triggers flowing in the neural structure;
Only frequency of joy varying with time.
Music beats analogous to discrete signals,
Welcome transforms cherished in life.
Cerebrations vanishing to a point;
Smothered by a 'jovial' knife.
People involved in convergent talk,
Multiplexing the threads of happiness.
Frequencies of different directions
Encoding India into a sense of oneness.
The techies emulating the demigods,
Their schemes - GSM, Telephony & CDMA.
Scenario reliquishing the mind;
Enjoyment - The synonym is CDMA.

About the Poem
One year back I was in New Delhi for a training in my company
which deals in Telecom software.
During that time, we all people went to a Disco for party which
was titled 'CDMA'. I was accompanied by people from
different parts of India and we had loads of fun.
I wrote a poem in that clamorous environment which is a
mixture of telecommunication and literature.
I am a simple person with multiple interests in life.
I learnt lots of things through the course of my life as
I have the lust for learning whatever that comes by.
My ideals are Subhash Chandra Bose and
Leonardo Da Vinci.
I belong to a small city named Ranchi in Jharkhand (India).
The power of writing and painting is since my childhood. It's a paradox
that I didn't have any guide for writing poetry and even paintings. I just wrote what I felt like.
I love English language. Infact, I love languages - Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Gujrati and now Chinese.
I am working as a Software Engineer in Aricent, Bangalore (India).
I love programming and conceptualizing. Research interest includes
Natural Language Processing. Currently, I have been making paintings
based on Mathematics. Honestly, it is fun. Ambigrams are another interesting stuff.
I can handle the mouse like a pen or a pencil.
I have amateurly mastered almost all the design softwares available both 2d and 3d. I didn't
have any professional training or degree for these things.
Apart from all these, I love cooking.
My mom taught me different cuisines. Last I learnt how to make pickle.
In my childhood I was a sportsperson.
I did lots of gymnastics on Ring. My favourite sport is cricket.
Personally, I have been a struggler who may be trying to prove a point.
I continue to do so but I think, struggle is an integral part of life.
The propelling force behind me has been my will. I love to do different things
and I do them.
May be I can learn something from you..

"Though we all know the fun and the joy of blogging, we cannot deny the fact that there are pains that goes with it as well. With the pretensions going on in cyberspace, I guess one of the hardest thing to find is a friend. A feeling touches me now and again; a feeling which I have no idea where it came from, save for the sense that it came from the Universe, the Heaven's above...
In the wake of this feeling I am left with wonder, joy, and, encouragement. It simply makes me feel good and strong...
I am left feeling like I can face anything, and, that I can do so with strength and wisdom. It is one of those feelings for which there are no explanations. It is like a tiny manifestation which turns into a whole being experience. Sometimes it moves me to tears. Other times it just moves me to action. And still other times it leads me to understanding of that which was perplexing me...
The Heavenly realm and the experiences it lends to human life is beautiful. It is nothing which we will comprehend. We merely accept it as a gift and move forward with its moving presence...
Such things build the spirit. Such things confirm faith, belief, and, perseverance. It is the answering of prayers. It is the love of the Creator (GOD), and, it is well received by me...
© Lynda Winsor
My name is Lynda Winsor. I am a published poet and an aspiring writer. I am working on a collection of poetry, dealing with love and religion. I can't wait to get it published! I have been writing since I was 13 years old, and, one of the first pieces I ever wrote got published in the newspaper. One of my teachers submitted it without me knowing and then surprised with it. Imagine how happy I was.
Writing is what I do and love. It is an intricate part of me such as is my faith. I am no angel, but, without God in my life, I would not be...
Always moving forward, never looking back. I am perfectly imperfect and accept that as my design. I seek improvement and knowledge in every way, but, I am grown enough to know that I will never be perfect so I do the best I can do with what I have. I believe in myself and in love. I also believe that the past is the moment which just went by and that the future begins in the present, therefore, what you do at this moment is imperative to tomorrow. I also believe and practice that life is about love, respect, honor, and integrity. If you live in each of these characteristics then you should be able to ever grow, all the while touching lives of others...

I've had more than six decades on Earth as a Western Australian and

I was invited by Bobby @ Revellian Dot Com to write a post as part of Blogging For Friendship Writing Project....
so what is blogging and community ?
# 1. What is a blog?
A blog (a portmanteau of web log) is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog.
Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries. A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (artlog), photographs (photoblog), sketchblog, videos (vlog), music (MP3 blog), audio (podcasting) and are part of a wider network of social media. Micro-blogging is another type of blogging which consists of blogs with very short posts.
As of September 2007, blog search engine Technorati was tracking more than 106 million blogs.
# 2. Blogger's Code of Conduct
The Blogger's Code of Conduct is a proposal by Tim O'Reilly for bloggers to enforce civility on their bloggers by being civil themselves and moderating comments on their blog. The code was proposed due to threats made to blogger Kathy Sierra. The idea of the code was first reported by BBC News, who quoted O'Reilly saying, "I do think we need some code of conduct around what is acceptable behaviour, I would hope that it doesn't come through any kind of regulation it would come through self-regulation."
O'Reilly and others came up with a list of seven proposed ideas:
Take responsibility not just for your own words, but for the comments you allow on your blog.
Label your tolerance level for abusive comments.
Consider eliminating anonymous comments.
Ignore the trolls.
Take the conversation offline, and talk directly, or find an intermediary who can do so.
If you know someone who is behaving badly, tell them so.
Don't say anything online that you wouldn't say in person.
In later comments, O'Reilly gave a tacit endorsement of Jon Garfunkel's Comment Management Proposal: "Jon, your post at Comment Management Responsibility: A Proposal is very detailed and thought provoking, as well as way more comprehensive than anything I'd thought so far."
# 3. Collaborative blog
A collaborative blog is a type of weblog which publishes posts written by multiple users. The majority of high profile collaborative blogs are based around a single uniting theme, such as politics or technology.
While the traditional popular (and rather insulting) view of the weblog is that of the lone blogger hunched over his or her keyboard in their parents' basement, in recent years the blogosphere has seen the emergence and growing popularity of more collaborative efforts, often set up by already established bloggers wishing to pool time and resources to both reduce the pressure of maintaining a popular website and to attract a larger readership
In recent years the popularity of collaborative blogs has soared. In fact, at time of writing seven of the top ten weblogs listed in N.Z. Bear's Blog Ecosystem (a popular league table of blogs based on the number of incoming links) employ collaboration of some sort.
In addition to the growth in traditional collaborative blogs the last two years has seen the emergence of a professional variety of collaboration - made up of either professional, paid commentators such as The Huffington Post (though arguably The Post does not qualify as a true blog) or high profile bloggers engaged in a profit-sharing scheme (i.e. Pajamas Media).

Blogs and Community – launching a new paradigm for online community?
Nancy White is a well known and highly respected e-facilitation and e-community specialist. Based in Seattle, USA, Nancy works internationally through Full Circle and Associates on a broad range of community development and facilitation projects. She is an avid blogger and generous information sharer and is deeply interested in successful online interaction in online communities, Communities of Practice (CoP), distributed teams and virtual work groups.
Community is alive and well in the blogosphere. It is emerging in a variety of patterns and manifesting in all sizes and types of communities. By beginning to explore their shape and interaction patterns, we can begin to think about how to intentionally nurture blog based communities for specific purposes. Much like the lessons for forum based communities which emerged in the late 1990s, we are now discovering what works, why, and what might happen next. It is still new. The patterns are not stable. But they suggest ways to think about the role of technology, power, identity and content in designing online communities.
Like the artist community in Fremont with their Troll, when a community sees a gap or an opportunity, they join together to fill it. So this exploration of the form and function of blog based communities is just beginning. We see a new tool, and we begin the creative process. The canvas is up, the paints are in front of us. The next step echoes Howard Rheingold’s famous email tag line ‘…what it is —> is up to us’ (H. Rheingold, 1997, pers. comm., 28 April). As the godfather of online communities, (he coined the term ‘virtual community’), Rheingold puts his finger on the pulse of possibility, yet again. [more]

As part of Halloween and Captain Lifecruiser's Halloween Scary Story celebrations I'm posting a poem that my dear Dad wrote when I was a little girl....I still remember it...
The Ghost floated in the through the open door
And the Cat gave a scream as he leapt off the floor
His eyes bulged wide and his limbs grew taut
As he watched the ghost begin to haunt
The Ghost rocked to and fro at a leisurely pace
And he seemed very friendly by the smile on his face
But friendly or not we still cannot say
For we haven't seen the cat since that day !!!!!
