Our Weddding Guest Book

Wednesday 31 October 2012 0 responses

If there is one memento from our long ago wedding that my wife and I treasure more than any other, it is our wedding guest book. Nothing comes close to the significance contained in those pages. Til this day, we often take it off the bookshelf and sit back with a glass of wine and reminisce over the friends and family who lovingly signed those pages. The funny thing is that mo matter how many times we read those names, we always find one or two that we can't recall being at the reception. I can't attest that we aren't having senior members since people used to crash weddings in those days.

Whew! Wedding Garters

0 responses

I would have to say that I have been to at least three different wedding receptions where the guests wound up rolling on the floors in very destructive melees. In each case the brawl began during or right after the ceremonial peeling off of the wedding garters. Somehow rather descriptive comments arose regarding the location of the garters that didn't sit well with the family members of the bride. I must say the combination of alcoholic beverages and suggestive rituals perform a perfect storm for controversy. Fortunately, at each instance I kept my presence at a safe distance.

Super Wedding Favors

0 responses

I always considered wedding favors to be more of an annoyance than a gift. Admittedly, I definitely can be annoying myself. I am trying to say that the items usually are rather useless but you have to be seen leaving the reception with them or you appear to , what you really are, ungrateful. The last wedding I attended, however, went a long way in changing my position on the favors. They were these very attractive and useful wine corkers that I happen to have a real need for. Somehow (please don't ask) I got home and found four of them in my jacket pocket in lieu of the two I was supposed to have.

Fun Disaposable Wedding Cameras

0 responses

I certainly recall when they first appeared on the seen. I also recall that I immediately thought the use of disposable wedding cameras was the best idea I had ever seen used at a reception. The other thing I remember is that quite a few guests didn't  know they were supposed to leave the cameras at the table to be collected by the new couple. Since it was a good friend's wedding I was recruited to contact all the guests to help retrieve the cameras. Because of my efforts, I was permitted to sit in on the viewing after the film was developed. I can't remember having more fun.

Unity Candle Ceremony

0 responses

I go far enough back to remember when the wedding ceremonies were the same time after time. I probably witnessed nothing distinctive at the altar for at least thirty years. It is a breath of fresh air to see the thought and creativity put into the matrimonial sequence these days. From the unity candle ceremony to the colorful  sand ceremony, the sacrament appears to have so much more sentiment and heartfelt meaning.  I live individuality as opposed to the robotic path these weddings used to be like. New is good, old gets old.

New Wedding Favor Bags

Sunday 28 October 2012 0 responses

I am a sucker for innovation. As soon as some new idea appears on the market, I'm waving my credit card after it. I probably could be diagnosed with some disorder or other. To let you know how bad it is becoming, I actually ordered these new wedding favor bags on line. The weird thing is that I am not planning a wedding. I guess when they arrive I'll have to wait for a friend or relative to send me a wedding invitation and I'll offer the bags to them. Then again, what if the bags don't coincide with the theme of the wedding? In any case, they really are quaint.

Wedding Invitations

0 responses

I often wonder how many wedding invitations are ordered and never used. I also  had the experience of actually receiving a wedding invitation on a Tuesday and the wedding was called off on Thursday of the same week. It sets you off to trying to decipher what could have changed the mind of one or the other to make such a drastic decision. I think about the parents and families of the couple and the complications that follow. The only saving grace would be if they could at least recover the deposits for the church, the reception hall, the flowers etc. I know there had to be some heavy duty emotions involved.

Flower Girl Baskets

If you ever want to see someone in bliss, keep you eyes on one of the most endearing things about a wedding. I am alluding to the one and only flower girl. Usually this sweet young lady is anywhere from four to eight years old and simply feels like she's walking on air as she floats down the aisle of the chapel. This is one of the many reasons Weddingstar takes great pride in the array of flower girl baskets. As one of their proudest product lines they are aware of the great pleasure this tradition represents. All you need do is see the gleam in the eyes of all the guests as they take in the sweetness of the occasion.

Wedding Favor Boxes

Very often it is nice to see that extra loving touch from people who like to share their good feelings and good fortune. This was what it felt like when the family of the bride and groom at the recent reception I was at conveyed when they took the care to provide  lovely wedding favor boxes for the guests. It proves that it doesn't take an enormous effort to show appreciation and common good will. It is gestures of this sort that exemplify the quality of humanity that is all too often forgotten or hidden. That special human gift of generosity is something we all have but sometimes forget to express.

Wine Wedding favors

I am noticing that the last couple of decades have seen our nation become more and more influenced by other nations, especially European nations, in the area of wine consumption. This is evidenced by the emergence of hundreds of large beverage stores everywhere you look. I even attended a wedding recently that used decorative cork stoppers and etched glass  coasters as wine wedding favors. One thing you can always count on is that there will always be the creative marketers out there that will provide us with products to keep up with the trends.

Obtaining Unsecured Business Funding

It will prove to be the best single thing that could possibly happen for the struggling economy if the current trend of credit loosening continues. With tools like unsecured business funding and a variety of small business loans, the creativity and ingenuity of the American people will continue to prevail. we have accomplished this before and most certainly will again. The frame of mind of the people is the most important factor in recovery. The attitude of the lenders must give cause for hope and help the actions of the people flourish.

Daily Use Wedding Flutes

My parents have set the bar pretty high when it comes to immortalizing their marriage. They actually use their wedding flutes every day as a token of their unity and successful relationship. I am not professing perfection here, they have their issues like every married couple. However, they work really hard at controlling negative situations. I don't know exactly what techniques for peacemaking that they employ, but I keep telling them they should write a couples manual and spread the knowledge. My mom says what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. I don't get it. They live in California.

Look under each vase and you will see the names of the bride and groom and the date of the wedding. If ever, I suggest moving them into storage, I am putting my life at risk. She says she'd rather put me in storage instead.

I can't say that I even remotely understand how the process works for unsecured business loans. One thing I am certain of is that the lenders have definite ways of being very sure the loans will be honored. I do know that I am interested in securing almost any type of funding I could receive. I am on the brink of bringing in a very large client who could make the future of my company almost guaranteed. I do, however, need the funding to set up what this client needs. I am hoping that if I can show a signed contract it will be enough to have me qualify for a loan.

Are we really that naive? Apparently so. We are now crippled with debt and struggling to keep afloat. I guess it's true that history keeps repeating itself. There is no doubt that we are a sick nation and the ailments won't disappear on their own. We need healthy alternatives to commence the healing. Unsecured small business loans would certainly be a major step in the right direction. Don't you agree?

New Dental Practice For Sale

Wednesday 24 October 2012 0 responses

found it to be very curious to see a practically brand new dental practice for sale. Why would people go through the arduous  trouble of setting up such an intricate operation only to turn around and sell it right away. I had no intention to buy it or even know anyone who would, but my curiosity got the best of me and I had to find out what was up. Don't ask me why I got this involved, I can't really give you a solid answer. The truth was that I was just plain being nosy. As it turned out,  the dentist who was supposed to practice there was involved in a terrible auto accident and his dexterity was challenged, leaving him unable to ply his trade.

Prudent Dental Practice Valuation

One of my favorite, yet haunting, adages is "a word to the wise is sufficient." I was the owner of a small plumbing service company about ten years ago. By small, I mean it was myself and two other plumbers.  It was a successful enough to make the three of us a decent living. On many occasions, the other two made out better than I did. I decided to sell it by myself. I later learned that I gave it away and should have consulted with a broker as to its value. Yesterday, I heard that my brother was selling his dental practice so I immediately advised him to contact a professional and obtain a dental practice valuation.

Dynamic Senior Living Software

They were struggling with the software they were using since they were finding themselves entering and re-entering the same data over and over again do to glitches in the program itself. Whoever wrote the software was either behind the time in the technology or simply not adept. My little old grandma informed them about Right Click and they now have the best senior living software installed in their system and are thrilled with it's performance.

The balance factor I fear on a two-wheeler is eliminated with the attached side car. I think I may finally be ready to experience the wind in my hair and face for the first time in my driving life. Open road, here I come.

The first name that comes to mind in any industry is a position that every company or organization is vying to become. The most advantageous thing that could happen to any entity, whether it be business or otherwise, would to become generic in the mind of the public. In the another sense, I would recognize this as branding which has become the catch word in all types of advertising these days. You see this every day in different products like Coke or Vaseline or Corn Flakes.

Looking at Used Cars in Irving

I don't care who it is, just about every person who walks into a used car dealership wishes they were invisible and could browse uninterrupted. They don't want the slick haired suit with spit polished shoes breathing down their necks or tailing them throughout the lot. Believe it or not there is an outfit called Auto USA that I visited while looking at used cars in Irving, Texas that had the most professional and respectful staff of any dealer I have ever been to. In addition they offered the most uncomplicated and attractive financing ever. I couldn't believe how enjoyable the process was when I purchased my late model vehicle there last spring.

How often do you find yourself wondering whether to purchase something brand new or look into buying it used? If you really stop and investigate the pros and cons, you can see the advantage in buying used for some items and new for others. take something simple like a bicycle. Why spend $700 on a new one when you can get one a year or two old for less than half the price. Cars on the other hand seem to be a bit more risky to most  people.  This is one area where I differ from most. I deal with Auto USA Texas and feel better about there pristine honest dealership than I do about new card dealers. This is bold, but true.

Reasonable Business Line of Credit

In the event you are considering to apply for a business line of credit, I feel it is my duty due to my experience with my line to inform you of what I have learned. The first time I went for such a line, my belief was to get as much as possible and fill my coffers. After accounting for the costs and the unrealistic sense of having a ton of cash at my disposal, I realized it would actually be much more prudent to have a lower figure to deal with. We are all human and having too much too soon has proven to be a disaster in many arenas, whether it be the spoiled little rich kid or the habitual shopper. Trust me and ask for less than your first instinct, build a history of serving it perfectly so when the day comes that you really  need more, it will be easily available.

New Small Business Loans

The new breed of small business loans is upon us. Back in a day, my small farm supply business was the recipient of the first SBA (Small Business Administration) loan issued by this bank in Van Nuys, Ca. We were basically pioneers for the area. We were so closely monitored and literally harassed by hundreds of onlookers for months. I started to wish we had never applied. The bank ordered quarterly audits which resulted in enormous accounting bill that were so dear that we could have made four monthly payments on the loan had they not been necessary. I finally convinced an SBA official that the audit fees would lead toward our missing payments and he discontinued them. I hope the new loans outside the government restraints go more smoothly.

Long before any of us starts any type of business, we must be aware of how and when the capital will be available to make it happen. We have to have a business plan that will spell out the hows and whys it will work. Just throwing a shingle on a door won't cut it. Businesses take time to form and need time to generate the revenue to be self sufficient much less profitable. I see all forms of financing ending up as merely being working capital.

Fruitful Unsecured Business Loans

We often tell our children that there really is no such thing as a money tree when they ask for trivial things. As we get involved in day to day business, we begin to realize that at least in a symbolic way there is a tree. This tree must be nurtured and watered or there will be no leaves. These leaves may be regarded as dollars. If you do the work, the tree grows and the leaves multiply and will bear seeds which will perpetuate more trees. And so it goes in the world of business. This is the essential theory in unsecured business loans. The lenders help you water the tree and your interest payments add to their growth. It's something similar to the circle of life.

I don't care if the job is sweeping a garage or generator testing, there must be some way people can find to put food on the table and keep the roof over their heads. It sickens me with fear and disgust that we have come so far and yet are subject to the greed and avarice of those sub-human pigs who pushed us into this abyss with no respect or concern other than their personal gain. Surely there are immense benefits to electric cars, but it wouldn't hurt to manage the transition wisely.
