This is my favourite part of the world. San Gimignano is utterly beautiful - as is all the rest of Tuscany - and the rest of Italy for that matter! Sienna is enchanting, I love it, Volterra - gorgeous...
Have you guessed yet I like the sound of this?
PS Can I only post using my gmail account now? I don't really use it at all...
Italy is one place that I haven't been to Diane...
sounds like you know the country well :)....
google has just made changes to the comment policy.....I have no idea why :(
have a great Sunday :)
I just turned comment moderation off...but no difference....here's what I suggest....
put your name or site in your comments like this

simple instructions at this site
You should try to go, Kim, it is truly gorgeous. I have visited all over - Turin, Milan, Venice, Rome, Florence, Sienna and it is all stunning. In an ideal world, I would live there! The only problem would be deciding where....
Thanks for the advice I shall try it out now :)
Diane
lol
I was just over at your site :)
very clever ...you did it !!!! *more clappies*
I don't fly any more otherwise I would be very very tempted...
I'm a really bad flyer....lots of bad flights....I could write a book about them :0
I regret not going to Italy when I lived in London....
I know a lot of Australian artists live there.....my alternative would have to be Paris....very fond memories.....and I adore the language :)
Italy is the one country I HAVE been to, other than the US and Canada! I want badly to go back, to either Bussana Vecchia International Artist's Colony or to Calgata, a medieval city build on a volcanic mound--all the artists have their studios in the grottoes around the base of the hill/mountain. I would love to have a studio there for three months!
Yeh, when I win the lottery!
It's too bad you will not see Italy, Kim--I think it has to be the most charming and enchanting country on earth!
ah yes I will just have to listen to you and Diane's glowing descriptions and read my book about Australian Artists who live in Italy.....
It really does sound like paradise Lynda :)
Kim, I would GET THERE, even if you have to be hypnotized to fly again! The sense of mystery and history/the passage of time are palpable! ART is everywhere! Everything is aesthetic! From the architecture to the alleyways to the balconies and gardens, not to mention statuary and paintings and cathedrals....
oh it would take more than hypnotism to get me back into a plane Lynda...
in fact I would have to be unconscious....
I have to say your enthusiasm is infectious ....and I'll take your word that Italy is a dream for Artists :)
Very nice description. I would like to travel more often one day. These posts make it inspiring to do so!
